I had SUCH a fun week of recording with the cast for Season 2. Before I did Season 1 I had always recorded alone and so when I set up recording I gave people the option of recording with me, or on their own. I was surprised that people wanted to record with me initially, haha but I quickly learned why. The energy is much different, and the way the actors react to each other is fantastic. I like to be able to direct them right then as well, just in case there is a small thing I'd like them to try, or to answer any questions they may have had. Now the idea of not recording together is completely unusual in my head. What a difference six months makes.

So excited! I've written Season 2 and most of the roles are filled. I am doing a casting call for three remaining roles. Starting September 19th - 25th. We had so much fun doing Season 1 and I think you'll really enjoy the next Season. WHOO!

I'm so happy the season one finale, episode 6 is up! I had decided to write this one after attending an actual conference and then was super sick and voiceless for ages after getting COVID at it. There's a little bonus haha on the website for Episode 6 when we sang the theme song and recorded it.

I have always loved telling stories and learned techniques like animation and writing, and now podcasts, to help share them. My experience in corporate production has certainly helped and I learn a million more things with every new episode.

When I initially set up the release dates, I didn't factor in being down for two months with COVID. All the other episodes were recorded before then because Molly and I wanted to actually meet for the first time at VO Atlanta and build off of that experience. I could barely talk for 2 months which really put the last episode writing and recording on hold.  Because I arbitrarily set the dates originally, I'm going to release the season finale July 1st rather than mid June so I can give it the extra love and time the episode, and you deserve. 

We have some fun things planned this summer and I have all the episodes of Season 2 outlined. We'll finish writing this summer and start casting and production in August. I think you'll really enjoy Season 2. Thank you so much for your patience with episode 6! Thank you so much for listening! <3

Had so much fun this episode working with the superb John Olive! The last project we did together was "Destiny Day" and animation that won the 48 hour film festival - Machinima - Best Picture, Writing and Acting. I've always loved seeing him act locally and I am grateful that he is so generous with his time and talent. He is a magnificent human and was wonderful to work with so I was thrilled when he agreed to be Ted Bolder. 

I am also extremely grateful that Brayden Daughtry stepped in as a perfect Chad! He was a quick study and delivered exactly what I'd hoped for. I hope you enjoy their performances as much as I did!

I had a great time meeting Molly, the actress who plays Mikayla for the FIRST time in real life two weeks ago at VO Atlanta! It was lovely to instantly slip into a great friendship as easily as Minnie and Mikayla. There were so many great people there and it was a pleasure to attend. I'm so excited to share that the first episode is up! It was officially supposed to launch April 1st but I will admit, I just couldn't wait. Please feel free to share it widely and if you would be so kind to leave a positive review if you listen to it on a host that allows you to do so, I would greatly appreciate it. I am so grateful to everyone who said, "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." And I'm grateful that it became more than an idea. We made the thing!!!

The recording sessions were a blast! The episodes are now in post-production and coming together! It's really rewarding to hear the cast actually perform the words that were funny in your head and hearing them really work! It's challenging not to laugh and ruin the delivery sometimes. Can't wait until you can hear the episodes!

All roles have been cast but one! I'm so fortunate to have such great people onboard, and am looking forward to filling that last role this week. I put out a casting call to close Saturday and have gotten some fantastic auditions!

Chad, Talia Talespinner, Chad and Ted are all recorded and ready to go so this weekend will be a post-production fest.

I have most of the parts cast. There are a few left I need to approach people I have in mind for. AND there are a few smaller roles that I still need to fill. I’m going to wait until those last three are written first and I’ve finalized the logo before tracking them down. I’m all about process.
